Satoru Roppo (六方 悟 Roppō Satoru) is an antagonist in Rockman.EXE Beast+. He is the operator of JudgeMan and the main antagonist of the episode "The Keeper of Law".
Overview[]
Unlike his video game counterpart, this version of Satoru is not a member of the WWW and is not associated with the organization.
Despite his heart being in the right place, Satoru is an overzealous prosecutor of the law, and believes criminals, or rather those he believes are criminals, should be punished on the spot rather than stand trial, and sees himself as the guardian of the cyberworld and the law.
History[]
Satoru appears being congratulated for prosecuting a criminal who attempted to steal data. As he is leaving the courthouse, he is surrounded by news reporters who congratulate him. He smugly calls himself the guardian of the cyberworld and the law, getting uncomfortably close to a reporter before spotting Netto Hikari and Enzan Ijūin, scoffing at the NetPolice for giving children the right to uphold the law and walking away.
Later at night Satoru curses that no matter how many criminals he puts in jail, cyber crime is not decreasing. He states it is because the current laws are wrong and that NetNavis should not be tried in court, but on the spot, and that if his NetNavi Punishment Law were passed into law cyber crime would disappear, though the minister won't listen to his proposal. JudgeMan assures him that he will uphold the NetNavi Punishment Law regardless of it not being an actual law and that one day everyone will see Satoru is right. Satoru assures himself that he is always right and the he and JudgeMan are the guardians of the cyberworld and the law itself.
The next day Satoru and JudgeMan go on a rampage enforcing the NetNavi Punishment Law, prosecuting NetNavis and people alike for trivial actions such as:
- A vending machine not dispensing his drink after he paid for it, which he claims is fraud,
- A car going down the wrong way on a one-way street,
- Satoru falling into a hole made for construction while not paying attention,
- Someone accidently spraying him with a hose on accident and getting his suit wet,
- and him walking into the middle of traffic at a red light, prompting him to change all the lights green.
He then stops by Maha Ichiban where he imprisons GutsMan because his curry is too spicy, despite ordering an extra spicy pork curry, and is followed by Netto.
He has JudgeMan imprison a restaurant owner's NetNavi for stating that the octopi in her octopus balls are not from where she claims, and is confronted by Netto and Rockman. He defends his actions to Rockman, claiming his NetNavi Punishment Law will soon be implemented and that enforcing it early isn't a big deal. Rockman points his Rock Buster at JudgeMan and Satoru states that he is committing treason and orders JudgeMan to destroy him. JudgeMan however is defeated and Satoru is set on fire by Rockman's Glaga Beast Out's Beast Breath burning up his PET. He dunks himself into a nearby fountain where Rin Manabe arrests him, which he quietly accepts. As he is being taken away, Netto calls him shabby, and Satoru angrily tells them to not forget him.
