"Shōgaku _-Nensei" (小学_年生 lit. "_ Grade Primary School Student") is a series of Japanese magazines published by Shogakukan. They are educational general magazines aimed for different grade students that include various contents, including comics. Rockman content appeared in the magazines.

Shōgaku Ichi-Nensei
(小学一年生)
1925 For 1st graders. Was originally titled Seugaku Ichi-Nensei (セウガク一年生 "Seugaku First Grader"). Renamed as Kokumin Ichi-Nensei in 1941. Combined with the 2nd and 3rd grade magazines as Yoi Ko no Tomo from 1942 to 1945. Returned being Kokumin Ichi-Nensei in 1946. Changed to Shōgaku Ichi-Nensei in 1948.
Shōgaku Ni-Nensei
(小学二年生)
1925 For 2nd graders. Similar to Shōgaku Ichi-Nensei, it was originally titled Seugaku Ni-Nensei, and its name changed a few times before being set with its final name in 1946. Due to decreased sales, the magazine was discontinued, ending with the combined February/March 2017 issue released on December 2016.[1]
Shōgaku San-Nensei
(小学三年生)
1924 For 3rd graders. Was originally titled Seugaku San-Nensei and also had different names. Discontinued in 2012.
Shōgaku Yon-Nensei
(小学四年生)
1923 For 4th graders. Discontinued in 2012.
Shōgaku Go-Nensei
(小学五年生)
1922 For 5th graders. Discontinued in 2010, being succeeded by Gakuman Plus.
Shōgaku Roku-Nensei
(小学六年生)
1922 For 6th graders. Discontinued in 2010, being succeeded by Gakuman Plus.
Shōgaku Hachi-Nensei
(小学8年生)
2016 For 8th graders.

Rockman[]

Shōgaku Ni-Nensei, Shōgaku San-Nensei and Shōgaku Yon-Nensei serialized Battle Story Rockman.EXE from 2001 to 2004. The manga was collected into four volumes during the original run. A New Edition of the manga with additional content was released in three volumes in 2017.

A different version of Battle Story Rockman.EXE was serialized on Shōgaku Ichi-Nensei from April 2002 to March 2003. This version was collected on the aforementioned New Edition released in 2017.
