The Simurgh B (シームルグB)[1], called the Bombardment Aircraft in-game, is a large wingless bombardment aircraft (type B) from the old wars that appears as a stage in Mega Man Zero 2. This all-purpose autonomous bomber follows the command inputted into it, and as it doesn't need a pilot, it can also be considered a gigantic Mechaniloid. It lacks external weapons, so it is escorted by Tentolancers, which form a perimeter around it. Its bomb is harmless to humans, being a special anti-Reploid bomb that spreads a computer viruses over a wide radius.[1] This special bomb also causes chaff.[2]
In response to Operation Righteous Strike, Neo Arcadia sent Simurgh B to drop a bomb on the New Resistance Base. With only ten minutes to stop the bomber, the Resistance approaches it with an aircraft and Zero jumps between the Tentolancers to reach the Simurgh B, invading it and clearing a room so Ciel could teleport inside and hack the bomber, neutralizing the bomb. The player must protect Ciel until the timer ends, the mission points depending on how many times she is hit.
With the bomb disabled, Neo Arcadia attempts to make the bomber fall on the base instead. After Ciel teleports back to the Resistance aircraft, the turbulence prevents Zero from leaving in the same way, so he escapes from an opening in its storage. Zero returns to the Resistance aircraft, but Kuwagust Anchus follows him and they fight above the aircraft, with Zero defeating the Mutos Reploid. Simurgh B crashed on the Crystal Cave near the Resistance Base, and Elpizo searched its remains to find a way to enter Neo Arcadia.
