Sky Chaser, known as Tsuibangeki (墜磐撃 / ツイバンゲキ Tsuibangeki, lit. "Crashing Boulder Attack") in Japan, is a Z-Saber EX Skill from Mega Man Zero 4 that Zero learns by defeating Noble Mandrago at sunny weather.
Pressing down while slashing in the air causes Zero to come crashing down to the ground Z-Saber first. When the Z-Saber hits the ground, rocks and debris will fly out, damaging enemies on contact.
Use in Combat[]
Sky Chaser shares similar use to Saber Smash, but gains extra functionality from the debris upon impact. It has good use in boss combos as a follow-up from Flame Fang due to having a hit priority of 5. Due to this fact, it can be used in longer combos in general. Sky Chaser can also be used right after jumping if you desire to send the debris flying without having to fall down to the ground. Repeatedly doing this can be useful in stages if you desire to keep your distance from an enemy or to do extra damage before a combo against a tough stage enemy. The debris is not very useful in a combo against bosses, as it has a priority of 1. Beware, as due to its command being down + attack, It is quite easy to accidentally perform Sky Chaser when trying to execute a Skull Crush and possibly fall into a pit with no chance of recovery. Due to having no element, there's no boss who is resistant to Sky Chaser.
