The SoulServerComp (ココロサーバーの電脳 Kokoro Sābā no Dennō, SoulServComp in-game) is the network of the finished SoulNet crafted by Dr. Regal. It is the final location in Mega Man Battle Network 5 and a point of no return, as the player cannot leave nor can they save their progress inside. It houses the game's final boss, Nebula Gray.

Description[]

The Soul Server's computer is a fairly straightforward stage, having only one path to follow. The network is composed of dark blacks, and glass blocks with interconnected human brains, symbolizing the linking of humanity through the SoulNet. The background however is adorned with Nebula logos, symbolizing the organization's control of the SoulNet.

Story[]

Lan and MegaMan venture into the SoulServer's premises in order to stop Regal's plan and ultimate weapon, the Nebula Gray from corrupting the souls of everyone linked through the SoulNet. As MegaMan travels he's assaulted by the revived Darkloids who try to have their revenge over MegaMan. However the Darkloids are stopped by all the previously missing teammates along MegaMan's kidnapped friends allowing him to pass.

At the Server's end, MegaMan comes face to face with the Nebula Gray, human's evil soul turned data, the progenitor of the Dark Chips, take physical shape. Lan and MegaMan fight the monstrous program and are able to destroy their body, however, the Nebula Gray is still active and tries to engulf MegaMan with evil influence. In a desperate attempt Lan removes his MagnoMetal to try to communicate with MegaMan using SoulNet. He fails, but is reassured by the remnant voice of Tadashi Hikari that they will always be connected, allowing the twins to reconnect causing MegaMan to regain his Hub form.

With newfound power MegaMan purges the evil and encapsulates the Nebula Gray. The program is unfortunately, too strong to be contained draining MegaMan of the bulk of its power. The Nebula Gray then attempts to possess MegaMan but is blocked by Colonel.EXE. This allows MegaMan's teammates to connect with MegaMan through their souls and send him their power. This gives MegaMan the strength needed to blast the Nebula Gray, destroying it and causing the SoulServer to explode, which in turn starts a chain reaction that destroys the Dark Chip Factory.
