Spark Man Stage (スパークマンステージ) is a stage that appeared in Mega Man 3 and Mega Man III that has Spark Man as the boss.

Appearances[]

Mega Man 3[]

Normal Stage[]

Spark Man's Stage takes place inside a giant power plant that is completely indoors. There are electric machines and devices whirring away in the background, making for a very animated stage. The stage is relatively short, but contains a varied mix of enemies and gimmick challenges. A little detail the stage has is each elevation of the stage is marked as B1, F1, F2, and F3, before taking a large drop into B10 for the stage's second half. The first main gimmick is Electric Gabyoalls, unique to this stage. There are always a set of 2 of these guys opposite to each other, one on the floor and one of the ceiling. They do not speed up, but periodically generate electricity in between them. They appear in F1 and F2. There are also pink platforms with black arrows pointing up, unique to this stage. These platforms remain stationary in the air, but once stood on, will move upwards to crush the player between the spikes on the ceiling. They appear in F2 on their own, and in the last room with Nuttons & Boltons. Lastly, there are chutes in B10 unique to this stage that drop scrap in a big pile underneath. They take 8 HP to destroy, but are spawned quickly, so it's best to get on top of one and slide quickly before the next one falls.

Revisited Stage[]

Spark Man's Stage is one of the 4 stages that get revisited when the player has to take down the Doc Robots. The stage visually has been beaten up with part of the floor and blue background gates being tattered. The stage introduces a new gimmick which is unique to this stage, orange spinning screws that act like 1-tile conveyor belts. They only appear in F1 and the transition room afterwards, and demand some precise platforming. After the 'Doc Metal' fight, there is a spike drop leading back to B10, which brings back the Electric Gabyoalls and, later down the line, the scrap chutes. The latter this time places scrap near pits, making them a bit more challenging to get past.

The Doc Robot with Metal Man's data appears on floor F2 (F3 is not available), and the Doc Robot with Quick Man's data on the end of the stage on floor B10.

Mega Man III[]

MMIIISparkManStage

Spark Man's stage in Mega Man III.

Spark Man's Stage in the GB demake once again takes place in a giant power plant. All the gimmicks of the NES counterpart return here, but has been modified slightly. Electric Gabyoalls, unique to this stage, take longer to release electricity and to turn it off. They are seen throughout the entire stage. The Junk Block chutes this time can only drop 1 Junk Block at a time, and must wait for the previous one to be destroyed before dispensing another. However, they are more annoying here as there are usually ceilings that prevent the player from going over one, or there is only a small amount of room to jump right after a chute. The pink platforms, unique to this stage, move very slowly upwards and start appearing after the E-Tank. Lastly, there is a big drop with spikes on the walls, and a new gimmick, Count Bombs, is introduced here. They are platforms that, once stood down will start ticking a countdown from 3, and explode after it reaches 0. After this drop are more chutes and enemies before the boss door.
