"High-speed rocket punch."
―In game Pause Menu, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
"Though lacking in power, this rocket punch offers intense speed."
―In-game text, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X

Spoiled Brat (スポイルドブラット Supoirudo Buratto) is an Arm-type rocket punch weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Spark Mandrill and Launch Octopus in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. This weapon is incredibly fast to the point that it behaves like a vulcan weapon. Unlike vulcans, however, it does not rapid-fire for the player if they hold down the button, which means they have to keep tapping the button to get a rapid-fire effect. Spoiled Brat uses weapon energy just slightly faster than it refills. The range for this weapon is about half a screen of range and can inflict relatively decent damage, mostly because the player can pump enemies so quickly with its rapid-fire shot. Unlike many of the other Rocket Punches weapons, the player does not need to wait for this one to return to Vile before they can fire again.

Spoiled Brat is Armored Armadillo's weakness.

Etymology[]

  • "Spoiled brat" refers to a child who is overindulged by their parents and bad-tempered or uncooperative as a result. This may be reflected in how violent and sudden the rocket punch travels, and also in Vile's personality.
