− | In the Battle Network series, there exists a set of Battle Chips that each act as an enhancement to the Mega Buster for one shot. All the battle chips in this family are of normal element. Note: no viruses drop any of the battle chips in this family. |

||
+ | Spreader, known as Spread Gun in Japan, is a Battle Chip present in all games from the Mega Man Battle Network series. This chip, alongside a set of similar Battle Chips, act as an enhancement to the NetNavi's buster for one shot, spreading damage to adjacent panels. |
||
+ | No viruses drop the non-elemental Battle Chips in this family, and in most games they cause 30 damage. Puffy and Shrimpy drop chips of the Aqua element, and Buffy and Spikey of the Fire element. |

+ | ===3-Way=== |
||
+ | |
||
+ | 3-Way is a Battle Chip from Mega Man Network Transmission. Instead of a single shot splitting after hitting the target, it fires buster shots in three directions. |
||
+ | |||
+ | clr |
||
+ | |||
+ | ==Program Advances== |
||
+ | ===Powered Cannon=== |
||
+ | Powered Cannon is formed by combining Shotgun, CrossGun, Spreader, and Mega Cannon in K code, and only appears in the first Mega Man Battle Network. MegaMan summons a massive cannon that explodes a 3x3 area for 200 damage on a successful hit. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Hyper/Mega Burst=== |
||
+ | Hyper Burst, shortened to H-Burst, is formed by combining Spreader chips in three consecutive codes. It functions like a Spreader, but it explodes multiple times in place (even if the target moves), alternating between a X-shape and a +-shape. In the first four games, this does 5 hits of 100; in Mega Man Battle Network 5, it's 6 hits of 50, and in Mega Man Battle Network 6 it's 10 hits of 60. In the sixth game, all three Spreader chips form the same Program Advance. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Mega-Burst, shortened to M-Burst and known as Mega Death Burst in Japan, is an upgraded version of H-Burst in the first two games. It uses all five codes of Spreader and hits 10 times instead of 5. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Bubble/Heat Spreads=== |
||
+ | Bubble Spread, and its Fire-element counterpart Heat Spread, are found in Mega Man Battle Network 3 and 4. They are identical to the Battle Chips of the same name from the first two games, except that they deal 300 damage. In both games, they are formed by combining the lesser chips of their kind (Bubbler/Bub-V/BublSide and HeatShot/Heat-V/HeatSide, respectively), either as a single type of chip in three consecutive chip codes or by combining one of each chip in the same code. |

Spreader, known as Spread Gun (スプレッドガン Supureddo Gan) in Japan, is a Battle Chip present in all games from the Mega Man Battle Network series. This chip, alongside a set of similar Battle Chips, act as an enhancement to the NetNavi's buster for one shot, spreading damage to adjacent panels.
No viruses drop the non-elemental Battle Chips in this family, and in most games they cause 30 damage. Puffy and Shrimpy drop chips of the Aqua element, and Buffy and Spikey of the Fire element.
Battle Chips
Shotgun
Shotgun (ショットガン Shottogan, ShotGun in one game), known as Blaster in the English dub of the anime MegaMan NT Warrior, that appears if the first three Mega Man Battle Network games. It is a Battle Chip that fires a projectile straight forward and hits both the target and the square behind it. In the anime, it fires several projectiles from the buster.
Bubbler
- See Bubble Spread for the Bubbler chip in the first game.
Bubbler, known as Bubble Shot (バブルショット) in Japan, is a stronger, Aqua element version of Shotgun that can be obtained from Shrimpy.
Heat Shot
Heat Shot (ヒートショット Hīto Shotto) is a stronger, Fire element version of Shotgun that can be obtained from Spikey.
V-Gun
V-Gun (ブイガン Bui Gan) spreads in the two diagonal squares behind the target.
Bubble-V
Bubble-V (バブルブイ Baburu Bui) is a stronger, Aqua element version of V-Gun.
Heat-V
Heat-V (ヒートブイ Hīto Bui) is a stronger, Fire element version of V-Gun.
Side Gun
Side Gun (サイドガン Saido Gan) is a Battle Chip that only appeared in Mega Man Battle Network 3. Its shot spreads in the panels to the side of the target.
Bubble Side
Bubble Side (バブルサイド Baburu Saido) is a stronger, Aqua element version of Side Gun.
Heat Side
Heat Side (ヒートサイド Hīto Saido) is a stronger, Fire element version of Side Gun.
Cross Gun
Cross Gun (クロスガン Kurosu Gan) spreads in four diagonal squares, forming a cross.
Bubble Cross
Bubble Cross (バブルクロス Baburu Kurosu) is a stronger, Aqua element version of Cross Gun.
Heat Cross
Heat Cross (ヒートクロス Hīto Kurosu) is a stronger, Fire element version of Cross Gun.
Spreader
Spreader, known as Spread Gun (スプレッドガン Supureddo Gan) in Japan, is a Battle Chip that hits all panels around the target.
In Mega Man Battle Network 4 it has a Dark Chip named Dark Spread (ダークスプレッド) that causes 400 damage, but has negative side effects to the user.
In Mega Man Battle Network 6 Spreader appears as three Battle Chips with different attack power.
Bubble Spread
Bubble Spread (バブルスプレッド Baburu Supureddo), named Bubbler in the English version of the first Mega Man Battle Network game, is an Aqua element version of Spreader, dropped by the Puffy virus.
Heat Spread
Heat Spread (ヒートスプレッド Hīto Supureddo), named Heater in the English version of the first Mega Man Battle Network game, is a Fire element version of Spreader, dropped by the Buffy virus.
3-Way
3-Way (3ウエイ 3 Uei) is a Battle Chip from Mega Man Network Transmission. Instead of a single shot splitting after hitting the target, it fires buster shots in three directions.
Program Advances
Powered Cannon
Powered Cannon is formed by combining Shotgun, CrossGun, Spreader, and Mega Cannon in K code, and only appears in the first Mega Man Battle Network. MegaMan summons a massive cannon that explodes a 3x3 area for 200 damage on a successful hit.
Hyper/Mega Burst
Hyper Burst, shortened to H-Burst, is formed by combining Spreader chips in three consecutive codes.
Mega-Burst, shortened to M-Burst and known as Mega Death Burst (メガデスバースト) in Japan, is an upgraded version of H-Burst in the first two games. It uses all five codes of Spreader and hits 10 times instead of 5.
Bubble/Heat Spreads
Bubble Spread, and its Fire-element counterpart Heat Spread, are found in Mega Man Battle Network 3 and 4.
