The SRN (Space Ruler Number) series are robots from an ancient alien civilization that came from space known as Stardroids (Space Rulers in Japan). Dr. Wily found them in some unnamed ruins and reprogrammed them to use them to try to conquer the world. They only appeared in Mega Man V.

Video game appearances

Mega Man V

All the Stardroids first appeared in MegaMan V. Dr. Wily found them in some unknown ruins and decided to use them for conquering the world. With this they were brought back online and attacked the world, being led by Terra. MegaMan, after being defeated by Terra, was then given the new Mega Arm and was dispatched to defeat them. After defeating four of the robots and Dark Moon, the battle soon shifted to space itself where he defeated the last four robots, and finally in a rematch against Terra where he own. On the Wily Star, Mega Man after defeating the Mega Man Killers, rematched against the Stardroids, except Terra. Soon after defeating Dr. Wily, the scientist released another robot, excavated from the same ruins, the doomsday weapon Sunstar, however Sunstar would not obey Wily and attacked him causing him to retreat. Sunstar then faced MegaMan and after three phases was defeated. The robot was surprised when his enemy showed kindness to him, but he would never known as his fusion reactor soon exploded taking the Wily Star and him with it.

Other media

In Megaman comic series in issue 20, during his time travel fiasco MegaMan meets Terra briefly before he transported further in time.

In the manga Rockman Gigamix, the Stardroids are powerful space robots that attack Earth, destroying several robots in the process. Evantually, thanks to MegaMan, Duo, Proto Man, and help from Wily, Cossack, and Light Numbers are able to destroy them. However, thanks to Terra he is able to activate Sunstar, he and MegaMan do battle and if its worth protecting these people, MegaMan doesn't give up and Sunstar is finally defeated.

The Stardroids also appeared in a robot museum in the manga Rockman & Forte.

Trivia

• The Stardroids are named after the Solar System.
• Also technically Mega Man V was made back when Pluto was classified as a planet, in 2006 Pluto was re-classified as a Dwarf Planet
• While Sunstar, isn't technically a Stardroid he is, however made of of the same alien material as they are.
