Stellar Memory (星の記憶 Hoshi no kioku) is the 45th episode of Rockman.EXE Stream. It aired on August 13, 2005 in Japan.[1]
Plot[]
A stone tablet bearing the same crest as Duo was discovered in ruins deep in the jungle of Basconoma. Enzan heads to investigate and is surprised to find that a barrier similar to the Dimensional Area has been placed within the ruins. Yuichiro, who received Enzan's report, summons Netto, Charlie, Jasmine, and Nenji to Bascanoma. As Netto and the others Cross-Fuse and enter the ruins, a video of Navi appearing in front of them looks like Slur.[1]
Summary[]
Enzan arrives in Bascanoma, apologizing that Yuichiro wasn’t with him due to abnormalities with the Past-Time Tunnel. Dr. Makita shows Enzan a stone tablet that has Duo’s crest on it. Makita shows Enzan the cavern that the tablet is believed to have emerged from, but no one has been able to venture in due to a barrier. Enzan realizes the barrier is a Dimensional Area. Netto is at home, struggling to understand how fractions work while Meiru yells at him, when Enzan calls. Enzan explains that Yuichiro requested Netto. Netto is then escorted out of the house and into a car when his escorts recognize Jasmine and explain she was requested as well. Meiru is jealous that she wasn’t requested, despite being a Cross Fusion member. When Dingo passes by and asks where Netto and Jasmine are going Meiru decides to follow Netto and drags Dingo along with her.
Netto and Jasmine are taken to the airport where one of IPC’s planes waits for them. Charlie and Nenji are on the flight as well. Yuichiro calls to explain the situation, but connection is lost due to the interference from the Past-Time Tunnel. The group is moved onto a boat and the plane drops them off in a river. Unbeknownst to the group, Meiru and Dingo were on the plane and fall into the river after them and follow them on a raft. When the group arrives at the cavern Enzan explains the reason they were all called was due to the Dimensional Area. The group Cross Fuses to get through and start to investigate. There’s a big door with Duo’s crest that they can’t open, but Enzan accidentally figures out how to open it. Meiru calls out to Netto, who’s shocked that she’s there. Dingo is tired and sits down on something which causes the door to close and lock them all in.
Guardians of the Ruins with Duo’s crest on their foreheads emerge and surrounds the group. Netto and Meiru are separated from the main group and were cornered. As Meiru held her hand up defensively, Duo’s crest glows and the Guardians back off. The rest of the group is cornered, unable to contact Netto due to the ruins making communication impossible. Netto and Meiru discover a room with a pillar in the middle. Netto reaches out to it, the crest on his hand activating it. Meanwhile, Dingo uses his tomahawk to try and find the exit which results in the group stumbling upon a room that forms Duo’s crest. A pillar of light emerges from the cavern, alerting the scientists around as well as Duo and Slur. The group is teleported to Netto and Meiru where they experience a past vision.
The Past Vision reveals Duo’s creators believing that Netnavis and humans can’t coexist peacefully. They’re shown as Duo destroys a planet, believing that its network threatens the universe. A man tries to fuse with his Navi, not giving up until the strain kills him. Slur interferes with the Past Vision and begins to destroy the ruins to force them out. The group Cross Fuses and escapes just in time as the ruins collapse. Duo’s crest appears in the ground where the cavern was before. Enzan reports to their discoveries to Yuichiro. The group thinks about what Duo has done and what will happen, declaring no matter what they’ll find a way to stop Duo.
