Swapopolis, known as Akindo City (アキンドシティ Akindo Shiti) in Japan, is a city in Electopia far to the west of Den City. [1] [2]
Game History[]
It is known that Tora, operator of KingMan.EXE, lives here with his brothers. He left Swapopolis to participate in the N1 Grand Prix at the time of Mega Man Battle Network 3. There is also a Green NormalNavi in the Yoka Area cyberworld that came from Swapopolis to become a comedian. [3]
Anime History[]
In the MegaMan NT Warrior anime, a small bit of the city’s surroundings are shown. The city is known for its tower, and home to the chess-playing supercomputer "Deep Gray". It also has a baseball team, Akindo Tigers. Tora traveled from there to DenTech City to find strong NetBattlers due to a lure by Gospel.
Trivia[]
- Although the location is never seen in the games, judging from Tora's Kansai accent in the Japanese version, it's likely based on Osaka.
- The anime showed a restaurant with a big crab sign, similar to Kani Doraku, a famous Osaka crab restaurant. [4]
