CANCELLED!!!!

Game Over

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! FU... YOU CRAPCOM: CANCELLED!! --

......... I don't even know what to say... --Quick (ut) 19:26, July 19, 2011 (UTC)
Guys show your support at Capcom Unity Ask Crapcom Forums.

Apparently, the reason for cancellation is that there wasn't enough people in the devrooms (I don't know the exact numbers, but there are around 41XX Servbots in the English devroom and 93XX Kobuns in the Japanese devroom). Needs more people to join! --Quick (ut) 22:28, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

Now that's a real pathetic excuse... That's the best they could come up with. --Udana 22:54, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

So now Crapcom is blaming the fans! Bullshit, You can't judge the game potential sales based on Devroom members alone, there is lot of people that didn't join the Devroom that really wanted the game, myself included.

Protodude made a topic in Crapcom Unity asking about this, show your support HERE guys.

Specially before releasing the prototype, which would provide a WAY better judgement than the Devroom, and the prototype too should not be considered. I wonder if the proto was really delayed for improvement or if Capcom hold it to get that bad criteria first. Just because there are "only" over 10000 people in the Devroom, it doesn't mean only this amount will buy the game. And other stuff... *grumbles, rants, ...* According to a Japanese site, Tron ni Kobun sold over 61127 copies in 1999, and Rockman DASH 2 sold 88131 copies to PS1 in 2000 and 15309 to PSP in 2005 (And those aren't the total sales. Of note, according to Wikipedia, PS1 sold around 102 million units, while the PSP sold around 67.8 million units.) The 3DS is a new console, they expect the sales to fly like a rocket before the game is even half complete? This isn't Star Force!!! --Quick (ut) 01:53, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

This is just pure trolling from Crapcom now: WTF

Guys show your support to the facebook campaign:[1]

Remember when I fliped when Keiji lefted.... Well I had every right to flip, I was realy looking foword to this game. I never played MegaMan Legends before. --Cb13 (talk) 23:36, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

More bad news... The Japanese Devroom will be closed in August 19. Will they not change their mind even with the huge fan support? --Quick (ut) 18:23, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Apparently they will not, there is no hope now!

Any questions about the prototype? Ask here!
And the facebook group created a video:

Can a section or article related to the fans activity like Operation Rainfall and Operation Moonfall be created here? If yes, should it be called "Get Me Off The Moon"? --177.19.67.6 18:59, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

More information about the prototype --177.19.99.176 03:15, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

If they don't bring MML3 back in production, at least give us a great game next year to make up for it. Gurahk 13:04, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

My opinion

I think that is would have been a great game and those Crapcom bastards cancelled it. Damn!.

First, they cancelled Mega Man ZX Extremus, then, Mega Man Universe, then, Mega Man Legends 3, and now, X ISN'T GOING TO APPEAR IN ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3!!!!. Ah, come on.

The Facebook campaign wouldn't solve anything, because Facebook is bullshit and never hears our claims. PLEASE, DO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, RELEASE THESE GAMES AND ADD X or I will kill everyone.

But don't fall in panic. Keiji is gone, but we still have the Inticreates team, who made a great work for MegaMan Zero and ZX series. 200.68.126.202 14:05, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

True. Except that Mega Man ZX Extremus was not cancelled, as it never started. I think it was an April Fools joke from a Japanese site. --177.42.151.176 14:17, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Man I WOULD play that game if it was not canceld.99.39.245.10 21:11, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

Glad it's dead

For 4 reasons:

1. The fact they went into this project kinda haphazardly coming together. The fact they had fans so heavily invovled, creating backgrounds and pharses for NPCs, selecting designs, picking out things to return and have as easter eggs. While it's great to have fans invovled, it makes me question how the development was going before they choose to get the public invovled, and how clear their vision was on Legend 3 when they started the project. I wonder if the development was already on shakey ground before Inafune left.

2.The Bright Bats plotline, from what it seems the whole idea of the rebel riders seems out of place. If you wonder what I mean, it's the fact that we ended with Trigger/Volnutt trapped on elyisum/heaven and Roll building a rocket. Now suddenly not only leave that plot behind for the prototype verison but have a plot concerning a group of young rebels, it is jarring to say the least. Then to suddenly bring up the fact their leader has a Rock Buster like weapon, can fight as well, if not better than megaman AND has a connection to both Caskett and Bonnes families? well that is just like "okay did we miss a game or something?"

3. Handheld only, as fans of the series know, this series started off on console and was only on console for years before a handheld port. Then with capcom coming out with so many console games, it was quite jarring that Legends 3 wasn't on PS3, 360 or WII but 3DS exclusively. As a fan of the series myself it was quiet perplexing and made me dislike the decision, as it felt like they were trying to make me buy the system just for this game.

4.The game from all gameplay of Prototype, appeared to be, not that much of a leap foward. While i know there are things you can't absoutely change about Legends without it feeling like a different game entiterly; but capcom has shown us with the lost planet series, resident evil 4 and 5 that Third Person combat has evovled way beyond the Legends 2 system and that it may need an update.

With those reason I'm okay with this project being cancelled, and hope if they ever do choose to make Legends 3 it can address these 4 things.

-71.202.74.177 06:48, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

What if their canceling was a test and we failed it?

What if they actually did that to test us and, upon seeing the immature reaction of many fans, changed their mind to declare it dead, buried and forgotten? I mean: this MAY be possible, since this isn't the first time a company plays mind games indirectly. And, really? I saw so many immature Megaman fans that made me feel embarrassed of the entire fanbase. They canceled, so what's the deal? There are over 50 Mega Fans who can recreate Megaman on their own. Plus, this isn't the first time they scrap a good concept for "poor reasons". Resident Evil Gaiden was originally going to be RE1 but with Game Boy Color's limitation. But, when they laid eyes on Gamecube, they quickly vomited a crappy Resident Evil and BOOM! Resident Evil Gaiden. (Although I still like RE Gaiden's story). So, yeah, come to think: It WAS our fault all along. Tsukiyomaru0 (talk) 06:04, October 31, 2012 (UTC)
