Rock and Roll Sibling Relationship = US only?[]

That's not really a fair thing to say. And I don't really think it's true, it more of an interpretive thing as to how you regard robots and their relationships to each other and their creator. Rock and Roll share the same creator, the same dad as it were, and so therefore could be considered siblings. That why in Mega Man: Powered Up the Robot Masters all refer to each other as siblings: they share the same creator.

BUT, because Rock and Roll are robots and the sibling relationships are only really based on emotional and psychological type things than they could have a relationship as they're not BIOLOGICALLY related, and can't be. Personally I prefer the purely sibling approach, it's cuter and more in line with it's spiritual sister series Astro Boy.

But to write off the sibling relationship as "purely a US convention" is rude and wrong. Even in Japan both were created by Dr. Right (using the Japanese name because I'm referring to the Japanese version) so therefore they are siblings.

Missing info[]

The English Mega Man 8 voice actress is missing from the infobox. What are we going to do to resolve this issue? (I'd finish MM8 and add the info myself, but I have no way of starting MM8 ATM.) --Chaos Knux 04:06, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

What are we going to do? I suppose someone will add it. It's not a life or death situation, and really, not on the top of the list for things to do. --Zalbaag 06:17, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Guys, I already finished MM8 but I didn't pay attention to the credits. I probably will try again completing to game to see Roll's voice actress (I have the US version)

No one ever mentions how annoying Roll is in MM8.

Non-Canon?[]

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Roll DLN-#001 and Rock is DLN-#002, as roll was made before rock? I'm totally lost here.Wikiapersonnoob1204numbers15 (talk) 02:12, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

This trívia...[]

Am I the only one who sees this trivia about Roll and Rock relationship over-exaggerated? It simply gives the image that the character is somehow controversial, and I doubt this is Capcom's intention especially with the the classic series that has children as its target audience.
It's ok to mention the character's peculiar dialogue in Powered Up, but everything else is a big exaggeration and they don't mean anything at all. Most examples can fit into a jealous and protective sister, nothing more.
Roll.EXE and Roll Caskett also means nothing, they are different characters, especially Roll Caskett that exists in the same timeline as classic Roll, that is, they are different characters and only have the same name. It's like saying just because Mega Man X likes something, it means that Rock likes it too just because they both have "Mega Man" in their name.
Not wanting to offend anyone, but it seems more that someone wanted to implicate their ship on the page and described it indirectly in this trivia. Not even the "leave for interpretation" part make sense because Capcom never said that, they never presented this case as a scenario open to the player's interpretation, quite the opposite, they always presented both characters as brother and sister and nothing more. So anyone who interprets in a way other than what was officially said already becomes a misinterpretation. There's nothing open here.SuzukiTenma (talk) 05:41, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
