The Den Battle Tournament (Red Sun) or The City Battle Tournament (Blue Moon) is the first NetBattle tournament that Lan Hikari and MegaMan participate in Mega Man Battle Network 4, each happening in one of the game's versions.
Taking place in DenDome, this tournament is a competition to show who is the top NetBattler in Den City. The tournament's announcer is a blond haired man NPC.
Competitors[]
In addition to Lan and MegaMan, these are the competitors that can appear in the tournament. Each game's version will have 2 exclusive Navis that will only appear in that version and will only give the Double Soul in their respective version. The versions can also link up and trade Navis using the WaitingRoom feature to have the exclusive competitors appear in the opposite version.

- Tensuke Takumi and TopMan
- Terry Jomon and SparkMan
- Dex Oyama and GutsMan (Red Sun exclusive)
- Mr. Match and FireMan (Red Sun exclusive)
- Shuko Kido and AquaMan (Blue Moon exclusive)
- Higsby and NumberMan (Blue Moon exclusive)
Every tournament session will always have a combination of:
- Normal/HeelNavi competitor
- Version exclusive competitor
- Non-version exclusive/opposite version competitor
