The Federation (連邦 Renpō) is a government organization mentioned in Mega Man X: Command Mission. Little is known about its exact structure or origins, but it is a dominant political force on the Earth in Command Mission, as it was allied with the Maverick Hunters and had its own "Federation Army" (連邦政府軍).[1]

Mega Man X: Command Mission[]
After discovering Force Metal from a meteorite in the Pacific Ocean, the Federation established Giga City to mine, smelt, and research its properties. When Epsilon and the Rebellion Army began their insurrection in Giga City, the Federation branded them as Mavericks.[2] After the first team sent to quell the conflict was eliminated, Colonel Redips of the Federation Army chose to send the Maverick Hunters X, Zero, and Shadow as a final shot at peace before all-out war.
Once the Rebellion Army was quelled, Colonel Redips took their Supra-Force Metal for himself and publicly declared X and the Resistance as Mavericks. X's party then infiltrated Far East HQ, a Federation facility, and fought through Federation troops such as the Redips Guards and Red Hubcaps. Once Redips was defeated and his motives were exposed to the Federation, Redips himself was declared Maverick while Epsilon was posthumously cleared of his Maverick status.
