Toad Man's Stage is a stage that appeared in Mega Man 4, Mega Man IV, and Mega Man (Game Gear) that has Toad Man as the boss.

Appearances[]

Mega Man 4[]

Toad Man's Stage first takes place on top of a giant dam outside, where it is nighttime and raining heavily. The rain is actually a gimmick unique to this stage, and will lightly push the player leftwards if they are airborne. This can make fighting enemies a bit troublesome and certain jumps much tighter than they look. Eventually, the player will escape the rain and drop into some subterranean sewers that filter the rain. Once inside, a new unique gimmick is introduced: slow water that moves along the floor and flows down from ledges. This rushing water pushes the player in the direction its moving in, while midair water will forcefully push the player downwards and shorten jumps. The water can also hide some pickups, so be on the lookout. The final room after the second mid-boss has regular water, but it is rather shallow. Beating the stage will automatically reward the player with Rush Marine.

Toad Man's Stage in the GB demake once again takes place inside and outside of a giant dam, where it is nighttime and raining heavily. The rain in unique to this stage and behaves as it did before, but is a little weaker in pushing Mega Man and more common across the stage, as there are more outside sections. The slow water moving along the ground and air returns and is also unique to this stage, once again hiding pickups is more suspicious areas. Both of these gimmicks get mixed together halfway into the stage. One room inside has regular water unique to this stage, but it is rather shallow. Beating this stage will additionally reward the player with Rush Coil.

  • B Plate: Just after the first Escaroo in plain sight. Use a high platform to reach it.

  • Toad Man's Stage is the only Robot Master stage in Mega Man 4 that does not have an E-Tank available (either from lying in the stage or getting it from Eddie).
  • Toad Man's Stage in Mega Man IV is one of the few stages in Classic Mega Man where every enemy and gimmick is exclusive to that stage and does not appear anywhere else in the game.
