Tornado Blow (トルネードブロウ Torunēdo Burou) is Tornado Man's power. Tornado Blow is a weapon that reaches all over the screen like Toad Man's Rain Flush, blowing away enemies and projectiles or damaging them. This weapon is Magma Man's weakness, blowing out his head, which weakens his attacks until he re-ignites it. The Changkey Dragon in Magma Man's stage is weakened by it in a similar way. The Tornado Blow also appears in Mega Man 10, where it is used by the Weapons Archive.

  • For "Spike Shooters" and Wily Machine No. 9's first phase, both bosses do not have data for them because they must be damaged with their own weapon or obstacle -- the Tornado Blow cannot inflict damage to them directly.
  • For the Shark Submarine's second phase, if both hatches are intact then Tornado Blow will deal 4 damage to both, ending up with 8 damage.

Attack power

This weapon deals four units of damage to enemies when used by Mega Man (excluding weaknesses and immunities) if they aren't blown away.

Capacity

Each use of Tornado Blow uses seven weapon energy units. Tornado Blow can only be used four times with a full weapon energy gauge.

Usefulness

  • While Tornado Blow is active, it allows Mega Man to jump higher;
  • It can be used to blow away enemy projectiles and smaller enemies such as Metall β;
  • Tornado Blow is needed for the first stage of the Wily Castle from Mega Man 9. Although an alternative to this is the Concrete Shot if the player can properly map the shots.

Trivia

  • It is the only weapon in Mega Man 9 that doesn't have enough energy to defeat the boss it is weak against, unless fired when Magma Man is jumping.
