"Triple firing cannon."
―In game Pause Menu, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
"This weapon fires 3 rounds, but leaves you open for a moment."
―In-game text, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X

Trident Line (フロントランナー Toraidento Rain) is a Shoulder-type cannon weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Sting Chameleon in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. When equipped with this weapon, Vile sequentially fires three green energy projectiles from the cannon on his shoulder. The projectiles travel in preset patterns: one high over Vile’s head, one diagonally upward, and one more forward. Whether the player is pressing up, down, or has the control pad neutral when they fire determines what order Vile shoots the three energy blasts. Press up while firing, and Vile shoots from forward to upward; press down while firing and Vile starts high and goes to forward. Otherwise he starts diagonal, then goes forward and high. Vile’s feet are nailed to the ground until he fires all three shots or gets interrupted by getting hit.

X takes a decent amount of damage from Trident Line.

Defeating Sting Chameleon will Vile not only be rewarded with Trident Line, but he will also be rewarded with Buckshot Dance and Cerberus Phantom as well.
