Wish Upon a Star... (星に願いを... Hoshi ni Negai o...) is the 34th episode of Rockman.EXE Stream. It aired May 28, 2005 in Japan.[2] It features the return of Dark Chips after they were supposedly wiped out at the end of Axess.
Plot[]
Jasmine has come to Japan again. She is happy to see Dampa, the panda, recovering at the Animal Farm, but then an injured dolphin is rescued and she has to take care of it. The culprit who injured the dolphin was Inukai of Neo WWW. He was manipulating the dolphin to use it as a tool to smuggle Dark Chips. Netto and Jasmine try to stop Inukai with the help of Dekao and Maha Jarama, but Inukai fights back using Beastman and Umanosuke.[2]
Summary[]
A dolphin swims to shore with a bag on its back. It delivers the bag to Inukai, which is revealed to contain Dark Chips. In Choina, Cardamom realizes the time has come and sends Jasmine to Japan. Netto meets Jasmine at the airport, following her around while she souvenir shops. The two sit down and read a letter given to Jasmine by Cardamom, but they’re confused and unsure of what it could mean. Afterwards, Jasmine wants to go to the Animal Farm where she sees Dapan the Panda is cured from his illness.Nihao! Net Hermit
While Jasmine is at the Animal Farm, she’s asked to help an injured Dolphin that was just rescued the day prior. She notices odd marks on the dolphin, making her worry. Meanwhile, Inukai reports to Tesla about their plan to train dolphins to transport Dark Chips. Inukai runs the operation from a lighthouse, sending out signals to dolphins with bags strapped to them. Netto calls Dekao to order curry and ask him to join him and Jasmine. Jasmine and Medi take care of the dolphin she named Star. The group worries as Jasmine explains due to his injuries, Star most likely experienced emotional trauma and hasn’t been eating. Jasmine stays with Star to keep an eye on his injuries, so Netto and Dekao stay with her to make sure nothing happens overnight. Luckily, Star recovers overnight and is able to return to the sea. Netto and Jasmine watch him swim around, Dekao arriving with Maha Jarama shortly after, when Star retrieves a box from the water.
The group is shocked to discover the box Star retrieved is filled with Dark Chips. The group immediately assumes Neo WWW is behind it. Maha Jarama theorizes that by using echolocation, the dolphins are being manipulated. At that moment, Inukai sends out a signal, causing Star to be affected. Maha Jarama uses the Maha Ichiban delivery van to track that the signal is coming from a nearby Lighthouse. The group runs towards the Lighthouse as Inukai finishes conducting a delivery. Jasmine arrives first, plugging in Medi and having her fight against Beastman. Rockman is plugged in shortly after, helping Medi fight. However, Inukai sends his lion, Umanosuke after Jasmine, forcing her onto the ledge of a cliff. Netto runs to help, but he’s not fast enough. Luckily, Star jumps from the ocean and knocks Umanosuke off the cliff and into the water, saving Jasmine.
In retaliation, Inukai uses his Dimensional Chip. Netto Cross Fuses and swiftly defeats Beastman and Inukai flees. Jasmine thanks Netto, Dekao, and Maha Jarama for their assistance. Netto worries about the accomplices getting away with the Dark Chips, but Maha Jarama reveals that Hino Ken was coincidentally on vacation near the deal’s location and captured the accomplices. Netto and Jasmine wish farewell to star when Jasmine’s hand glows with Duo’s crest. Afterwards, Jasmine decides to work hard at the Animal Farm in exchange a place to stay because Cardamom had gotten her a one-way ticket, so she couldn’t return home yet.
