The WonderSwan (ワンダースワン Wandā Suwan) is a family of handheld video game consoles manufactured by Bandai. The first WonderSwan was developed by Gunpei Yokoi before his death and released in 1999. Its successor, the WonderSwan Color (ワンダースワンカラー Wandā Suwan Karā), was released the following year. Both primarily competed with Nintendo's Game Boy. An upgraded WonderSwan Color, the SwanCrystal, was released the next year.
