Yadokari (ヤドカリ) is a hermit crab-like Mechaniloid that serves as the mid-boss in Tornado Tonion's stage in Mega Man X7.

Description[]

The Yadokari is a massive Mechaniloid that has a pink shell and yellow limbs. It has a blue bulb-that sticks out of the base of the shell and has four legs whose feet have at a point. The Yadokari has two antennae sticking from the sides of its retractable head and a single green eye and two claws that serve as the Mechaniloid's main weapon.

Combat[]

The Yadokari's massive size prevents it from leaving the centre of the tower. It attacks with homing missiles, fireballs and by launching its claws. When the Yadokari withdraws into its shell, three large blades appear and rotate around the arena while bobbing up and down. The blades can phase through the protrusions in the inner wall. The player will also have to deal with the Yadokari's attacks in the first part leading up to the mid-boss battle, while rescuing several Reploids before they are killed.

The battle itself occurs on a circular arena at what could be the midpoint of the tower. Defeating the Yadokari causes it to plummet down the tower.
